I live in Colorado and got two of these calls from these morons today. They left a voice mail and, like MK, I was told that I had four offenses against me and that if I didn"t get in touch with them they"d call the cops and have me arrested.

Yes, definitely a scam. Supposedly from the IRS, claiming that I have 4 serious offenses against me and that I have 24 hours to get in touch with them to "remedy" the offense. If I don"t they will call the "cops" to come and arrest me.

Stupid people. No where on earth would the IRS place such a call, and certainly not using the slang wording either.
They called several times within 1 hour.. I did not pick up because that number is no one I know. I turned on voicemail. Their next attempt to get me on the phone was that message recording. YES, definitely another big scam.

There was a women that I spoke with telling me that I am going to be arrested for Tax fraud and that the call was being recorded by homeland security and the internal revenue service. The thing that raised a red flag for me was that at the very start of the conversation I said I had received a call from this number and she said OK let me pull up your file. I said how can you when you didn"t even ask me my name? She did not answer me but proceeded to yell or speak very loudly about how I am being charged with a federal offense for tax fraud for taxes filed in 2011.. Another red flag there because I have only ever not filed my taxes in 2015 and owed 2800 to IRS. They never called me, they sent me a letter in the mail. I paid it and it was done. I also did not work in 2011 as I had just recently graduated college. Once I realized the red flags and put the two together I got mad and told her off and hung up. She was trying to get me to send her money straight out of my checking account to keep me from "going to prison" and being charged with a federal crime of tax fraud. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These people should be put in prison just for doing this!!!!!!!

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
