Here"s the answer to all our prayers. Telemarketers almost exclusively use "autodialers" to make their calls. One out of a thousand will have live reps doing the dialing. When these dialers connect (you answer the phone) they listen for any "tones" generated. If no "tones" are detected they then transfer the call to one of the reps in a call center. "IF" the autodialer hears the 3 beeps from dialing a "DISCONNECTED" number, the number that was just dialed is automatically "REMOVED" from their list. Below is a link that has this "tone" plus the verbal message. You DO NOT need the verbal message. Download or copy the "DISCONNECTED" MP3 or WAV file to your desktop. Create or change the greeting you have when someone calls you and you"re not available. At the VERY BEGINNING of your message place the 3 tones (NOT THE VOICE MESSAGE) then continue with your usual or normal greeting. The autodialer will hear the tones and BINGO, your number will be removed since they think it"s a disconnected number. DONE. In a few weeks you will be removed from all the lists. Of course you may have to explain the tones to the callers you DO want to speak to but that"s a small tradeoff. Pass this info on to anyone you know that gets junk calls or even help post this on these websites. If you continue getting calls after reading this, it"s your "OWN" fault! END JUNK CALLS.

I think this is a tricky collections company that specializes fact finding.
The caller ID said Auto Leaders 407-792-6137 and I was going to tell them I’m on the ‘Do Not Call” list, as I usually do when I get a telemarketer.
They said someone from the "American Water Quality Association" was going to be in my area testing water and if I booked an appointment for a home water test, I would receive a 0 Wal-mart or Target gift card. I’ve wanted to get my water tested and so, unfortunately, I took the bait. BAD MOVE! I made the appointment and then they transferred me to an appointment setter and they recorded the call. They wanted to verify I owned my home, and how long I’ve been there, and who else lived here etc. The appointment was for the next day. They didn’t show up for the appointment and I received no other calls.
This phone number also called me with the following other caller ID numbers: v60612044400039 and v60412012600039. When I checked back over my other calls I noticed that I kept getting calls with no one on the phone and the same strange caller ID format that always started with a “v”.
Other caller ID numbers: v06081235200024 with phone 386-524-0114 exchange 524 is managed by US LEC OF FLORIDA, INC.
I’ve also found that exchange 792 is managed by Level 3 Communication, LLC out of Orlando, FL from the following IP addresses: 66.249.67.102, 97.100.38.55.

I know there have been others, but I didn’t answer and they didn’t leave a message.
I’m surprised this worked on me, but with the economy, the collections agencies are getting more tricky.

Sounded like a child asking for a person. Could understand what they were saying. I just said "who"?
What state are you trying to call ?
And they hung up. So now I"ve blocked them forever calling my number again.

I wish there was something that could be done about these callers. When you go to do a reverse find, they usally want plus for the information.

They should be considered criminal !

They sounded a bit young, maybe 10 or something, and had a weird accent. On here it says that they are from Washington, and we don"t know anyone from Washington. When I answered it, they knew my father"s name. I just got a call from this number on my mobile. It says that it is from Marysville, WA. I didn"t answer. This is probably what they call "spoofing." And for those who block their numbers and call the number back - NEVER do this. When you call these types of numbers and 800 numbers, there is no way to block your numbers from the caller ID. They still obtain your number and will continue to call you.

Just received a call from this number. I currently live in Mississippi, but I recognized the number as a Washington number since I have been applying for jobs in WA, I decided to answer the phone.
