told me that my computer needed to be scanned. I told them that we don"t use computers, we are a business that uses paper only, as computers are too troublesome. He immediately hung up. I am so tired of these people. I get more scammers calling me on my cell than regular phone calls.

Received the call 1/28/2017, 3:28 p.m. Told me my computer had been infected with a virus. I knew it was a scammer and told him I was tired of those calls, have a good day and I hung up. I have had many similar calls but never a name was shown before.. I thought the accent was oriental but could have been the Indian accent others told of.

Lol. That was cool. A company without computer, in 2017?? Lololol. How did they believe such reasons? I got a call from this number, but I was pretending to be a police officer, and asked them which computer was infected with viruses. I also said that there are 3 computers in my office, and one of them is on the scam division. They hung up immediately. Lol.

Actually they changed tactics. Now it is the Internet that is infecting the computer and it can be Windows, Linux, Apple, etc. Doesn"t matter the brand, just if it is connected to the Internet, the computer was infected.. But they would not tell me with what and when I kept saying "VIrus", the guy kept saying it is not a virus. So I asked how is my computer infected, and no answer went straight on trying to tell me the iInternet infected my computer.

The first caller, who had a heavy Indian or Pakistani-type accent, stated that he was from "tech support", that my computer has been generating error messages. I knew this was a scam, but played along out of interest. He asked if I was on the computer now, yes, I was. Then he directed certain keyboard entries, which included entering www.support.me in the the address bar, then handed the call off to his "supervisor". Mr. Supervisor had an equally thick Indian accent. He asked if I had entered the site address ending in ".me" in the address bar.
I had done none of these preceding actions.
At this point I asked him what part of the country he was calling from. At this, he asked why; I said I was just curious. He then asked, why, if I did not like the call did I not just hang up, and that he was not a fool. Then he ended the call without wait for reply.

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
