I received a call at 7:30am EST by someone with an Indian accent claiming his name was "George." He claimed I had an IRS debt that I need to address this immediately and pay. And that he was just a paralegal and I need to call Michael Johnson at 530-208-9830 to further speak about this. I am not aware of IRS making phone calls at 7:30am in the morning and stating I had to call a CA phone number to address my debt. I think it is another phone scam.

This same person has called me at 7:30am. He was asking for a male. I called the number back several times and told Mike that that person didn"t live here. Do not call this number again. He said they would have to investigate. Mike called again this morning. I told him don"t call this number again.

I got this message and tried to call back--not even a dial tone. He said it was the IRS. I don"t know what this is about. Next time I will pick up the phone and use my new junk call inhibiting device---an air horn. I say "I have a message for you" and then shriek the air horn. Then I ask them if they got the message! It was almost impossible to understand this caller. He was definitely in India and not at the high levels of his profession as a call center operator!

This jerk, "Peter Anderson" (if his name is Peter Anderson, my name is Tinkerbell) called again today and left another message stating he was from the IRS and I was not to "disregard the message." Some Indian guy called from 949-281-0045, claiming he was from the Portland OR IRS office about a tax problem. Couldn"t understand his name, because it sounded like he was calling from a train going through a tunnel, but it was clear that he wanted us to return the call to 530-208-9830.

Just received a call on Saturday at 8 AM from this caller with a heavy Indian accent and marginal English skills. I let the first call go to the answering machine as caller ID indicated out of area which generally means a telemarketer. He called back a second time within about 30 seconds and I picked up when I heard IRS.

The caller could not explain the nature of the call other than it was an extremely urgent matter. I asked him what city he was calling from (he named two different cities) and when I informed him where the main California IRS office was located as well as the local Los Angeles office, he hung up on me. Caller ID indicated 530-208-9830 and that was the number this guy wanted me to call -- which made no sense since that was number he was supposedly calling from.
