Same as the others - four allegations, local cops, blah, blah, blah. I searched the number and it was linked back to a company called yMax Communications, parent company of...MagicJack. Pretty sure a legit company wouldn"t be using MagicJack. So, yeah. Total scam.

As stated above (and from personal experience - yikes!), the IRS will send you a letter (generally certified) if there is an issue. Also, they do not leave automated messages.

Similar to the last 3 comments a voicemail was left saying that there were serious allegations against me and to call back or local authorities would arrest me. It also said I had a time limit of about 3 hours to call back. I"ve seen on a few other sights this is an IRS scam.

I just got the same call today from 779-435-5731. I didn"t answer them because I don"t usually answer long distance calls before 7:00 p.m. but I too got a message saying they had allegations against me. If I got this call 20 or so years ago I"d have been scared and probably in trouble with my parents and or whomever for no reason because I have autism and I could have easily been fooled by these goons! And I believe they came at me with another number yesterday and the days before.

How"d they even get my number anyway???

I"m sure it"s a scam so I"m not falling for it. Should I answer them and tell them to take my number off their list?

Same as above. When the recording said "local cops" I knew it was intentionally a scare tactic. I had problems with my old cable company so I switched and left them with the bill. I"m fairly sure this is a collection agency, trying to use scare tactics as usual.
