Caller ID says Scott Deters. They called a couple times and because I didn"t find anything online regarding this number, I decided to answer to see what it was. It was a person with a foreign accent saying he was tech support and proceeded with the typical computer scam talk. I told him that he and I both knew this was all a scam and to don"t call again, but of course he hung up before I was finished.

Scam scam scam! "Dell Tech Support" used to call me all the time when my computer was already on the lamb, and that"s how I learned to recognize the lingo. They caller wants you to urgently get to your computer and "confirm" some information. It is obvious that they are reading a script. Ask good questions they may not be prepared for. "Which computer? I have several." "Which account?" "When was the last time an error message was sent?"

Kept getting calls from this number and finally answered. Said they had been getting alerts from my computer.. Said his company "Itech Geek" did online technical support for Microsoft. His name was Peter Quinn Said he could clear up all the problems but that I needed to get security on my computer which was going to cost between 350-650. Said no and hung up. Kept calling back. Blocked the number than he called the next day from 785-868-2108.

Number pops up as Scott Deters. It"s someone (not from the US) saying they have received messages from my computer for the past couple of weeks saying... I hung up. The only reason I answered in the first place was because they had called 3 times within a couple of hours. Got tired of it.

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
