I received a call from a restricted number on my cell phone which I didn"t answer. My wife received a call in which a convincing guy stated I was goin to be served tomorrow, he left a case number "CV219699" and his number "833-718-3695". I called the number back and spoke to the individual that called, he asked for the case number then stated he had to go across the hall to the attorney office to get my case (I"m thinking, how convenient is it that the guy in charge of serving me is across the hall from the attorney office that has my case). Anyways, he started talking fast but stated I had an account with Wachovia with is now Wells Fargo and I have an overdue electronic transaction that now totaled 39.99, after court it could be over K. He also stated that they had tried to reach me and I had been evasive. I told this SOB, you call my wife and my cell phone so apparently, I"m not that hard to get in touch with. I told him to come on and serve me.... Not to brag but I can see BS coming, anytime someone start talking fast or calls from a restricted number, its BS. Plus, Wells Fargo cashed my checks on a weekly basis.

PLEASE ASK YOURSELF, WHAT IF THIS WAS YOUR PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS THEY WERE TRYING TO STEAL MONEY FROM!

Same caller, lady called me and said I had Bank of America checking account in 2007 and had written a check to overdraft my account, I owe the bank over 0, so I had 2 choices, to go to court and if I lost I would end up paying over comments,500 ,they would be coming out to my house between 3-5 o"clock or my place of employment to serve me papers. I told her I have never had a Bank of America checking account before and if I did, from 2007, it sure wouldn"t have been overdrawn no 0 . She had my last 4 digits of my social and my old address, I told her come, bring your ass on, my and my pitbull will be waiting for you. She hung and never heard back from them, it"s been 4 days now ! Totally scamming people.

Scam. Lock your social numbers and do not answer no caller ID calls. They are women claiming you owe a real company and have to go to court and the will serve you legal documents between 3-5pm. they give a case number and this number to call. Someone will answer and put you on hold and come back with your name and last 4 of your social. State a real company name I was told Wells Fargo, and stayed I had no choice but to pay or go to court to pay more. They told me I could not contact Wells Fargo. I did anyway and they notified me of a scam.

Same as above. Very convincing professional sounding lady called from "Caller Unknown" claiming they have my social security number, address, and place of employment. They are going to "serve" me with legal documents tomorrow between 2pm and 5pm at my home and I should make myself available. If I am not at home they will come to my place of employment where a manager or officer of the company must be present as a "Witness". I was scared for about a minute until my legal brain kicked in. I was a paralegal for 9 years. We never called anyone to serve them. If they knew we were coming most likely they would hide from our process server. Just human nature. So this call was utter BS and a scare tactic. Once I typed in the number & saw these posts I realized 100% SCAM. Didn"t even bother calling, even though I was VERY close to doing so. Just an FYI no legitimate company would do business this way. A creditor has to give you an opportunity to make good on a debt. They contact you in writing 1st. Sometimes they call, but they do not threaten to serve you. They just do it. Usually with a process server or the Sheriff.

Follow up to my previous post, I never was served. I called him back and asked when I"m I getting served? He stated I will get served during the scheduled time given, I replied that was two days ago. He stated they may have the wrong address and I told him he was full of shit. I asked why are they trying to rip ppl off and he stated he didn"t call anyone directly. He then stated he didn"t know who he was talking to so I gave him my case number "CV219699". I was put on hold for 25 minutes until I hung up. I have too much time on my hands today so I wanted to show them how annoying they can be. I will probably call him back, just out of spite....

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
