I constantly receive a call from a recorded message looking for me and that if I do not call them they will report me to the authorities. On numerous occasions I have attempted to return the call to the number provided on the recording (843-534-5825). One of three things happens 1) it goes to voice mail and I am instructed to leave my name and number and an account number; 2) It goes to voice mail but the box is full and I cannot leave any information then the recording says I made an error; or 3) A live person answers the phone and immediately hangs up. Today I randomly called the number and actually got a person. I could hear her clicking on a computer and looking up information, then she proceeded to tell me I owed on an outstanding payday loan. It"s been at least 5 years since I"ve done a payday loan and I know for a fact that i paid it off. SO I began to challenge her. She said they had tried numerous times to contact me. Based on what I"ve already mentioned above, I challenged the validity of her statement. In the middle of my calm non-hostile response, SHE HUNG UP ON ME! What a piece of work. I had previously blocked the original number from my phone - however they call me from different numbers now.
DO N OT give out any information to these people. I think they hacked into some loan application I filled out a long time ago and that"s how they have the contact information for my family and previous employer (I got a call from a previous employer that John Lewis called looking for me). If you do talk to a human DEMAND proof of the loan or debt before making any payment arrangements. This usually makes them hang up.

OH, when she answered the phone she identified the company as GASS.

I get a call from this number saying that they are looking for my step daughter as a complaint has been filed against her. they have called just about everyday for almost a month i"ve just been ignoring them and when i listen to the voicemail they say to call the number that dialed me. couple days ago they said that they would report to the proper authorities. we haven"t talked to this person in months and have no idea of her where abouts but when i called the number back once to ask them to stop all i got was a ringing number another time i called just got a voicemail but never was able to get the name of the supposed company calling.

They called my ex-husband today asking for my whereabouts. They used my name from when I was married to him (20 years ago). Thankfully we have remained friends and he called to let me know. I told him it seemed fishy and tI send me the number. I have no outstanding debts from the time period that my name would have been what they called me, I"m sure this is a scam but like another poster said ,"Why call him?"....I"m not hiding and I"m still at an address that would be associated with that last name, and my cell phone is still under that last name. I"m pretty sure my current address (city at least) comes up in those random white page sites. Just another way to try and scam someone.

I am so tired of getting calls from this number. They consistently look for a girl and have promised my number would be removed for over a YEAR now. I have a fax of 855-303-5660 or email at gafs@customerservice.org I say we all fax and call out of the yingyang and email to get rid of them. Let them be inundated with calls and faxes. My daughter recieved a phone call from them, looking for my husband. My daughter called, told me about the voice message they left, which was identical to what everyone else has said on this thread. I called the number and it went to voicemail, however, it seemed to be full and I could not leave a message. Then it said I had reached an error. Got on the internet to look up the number and find a dozen of sites with hundreds of the same complaints. But I did find a second number to these people, so I called it. A guy answers and when I started asking questions, he hung up on me. When I tried to call back, he sent my call straight to voicemail. I just wanted to get some information for the authorites, about them, then tell them off. I knew right away it was a scam for several reasons..... One, we don"t owe anyone money. Two, any type of real leagal place will NOT call you. They only contact you by mail! Three... I called the courthouse and there was NOTHING pending on any of my famly members. This has been going on for years. I have turned them in to Arizona"s states attorney, Florida"s state attorney, and SC states attorney. Nothing ever gets done about it. I"m f*****g sick and tired of putting up with the bullshit.
