This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.

My proven way to stop these calls......
If you have free incoming, like I do.
Answer, speak immediately so the computer will transfer to a live person. Then have fun with it, tell them you are so interested, but keep saying you are doing things, like answering doorbell, getting pen and paper, getting credit card.
The more you can waste that live person"s time (and wages) will get you off call lists faster than any "do not call" list. I do this, and they never call again, and I have rarely been getting new calls.
Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.
If a nice percentage of people did this, all telemarketing would probably stop...
And please feel free to pass all of this along whenever you post comments on other numbers...
BTW: the best I"ve been able to do is keep them on the line for 11 minutes, but with only coming back to the phone for 15 seconds at a time, three times. So my 45 seconds cost them 11 minutes of wages.

I called back and the agent answered by asking me my name and address to pull out the information filled against me.
Her name was: Rebecca Barlow her ID was CRA 1104, she informed me that it is under the federal court house case #CP11A7349 and that is for the following violations:
1) Violation of federal tax regulation
2) Violation of Canadian Revenue code
3) Theft by deception
4) Willful miss representation of information to the government organization
These legal charges were estimated at 90000 CAD
The amount that was mentioned that I owe was 5175.72 CAD in order to resolve the case.
I was informed that they sent two certified letter to my address but I was not available during those two dates January 11,2018 and April 20, 2018.
I was transferred to Senior officer Johnathon Wilford ID 87262 asking me to pay 20% of the amount in order show that I am serious regarding solving the case or the other option to be arrested.
He asked me to first purchase STEAM card but when the amount was only 50 CAD he moved to Apple cards with value of 200 CAD asking me to purchase 5 of them and to give him the code on the back to verify with the court if they are active cards otherwise my case will be escalated to the second level and that I would be considered lying regarding info that I submit to the case.
*He informed me that if the I hang up the phone or it gets disconnected that he won"t be able to help or assist me anymore and that I will have to follow up my case legally.
**He was always keen on keeping me with him online while i was going through the whole process.
***He told me in case the cashier refuses to give you 5 cards, or asks you why you need five cards just say you will use them personally through your phone because we don"t want you to be lying.
****He also informed me that by law am only allowed to share this kind of information with my Lawyer, spouse or accountant and if anyone else finds out i would be breaking the law and would face more charges.
They played it very professionally, used a lot of legal words, threatening through out the call which unfortunately made me fall in the trap.

These scams may insist that this personal information is needed so that the taxpayer can receive a refund or a benefit payment. Cases of fraudulent communication could also involve threatening or coercive language to scare individuals into paying fictitious debt to the CRA. Other communications urge taxpayers to visit a fake CRA website where the taxpayer is then asked to verify their identity by entering personal information. These are scams and taxpayers should never respond to these fraudulent communications or click on any of the links provided.
