The lady told me she needed to help me because a virus on my computer. I played along and asked what computer exactly she was referring to as I have several. She asked me if I was so dumb I don"t even know my computer. I told her she"s dumb to think I don"t know it"s a scam! Another guy called my husband and cussed at him when we called him out, told my husband to go f**k himself. Yep, that"s how real tech support sounds.

I just spent 4 minutes playing along with a computer fix for my windows computer. In fact I have a Mac so there was no problem playing. This appears to be a way to give them control of your computer so they can probably download some type of malware and then charge you to have them fix it. Anyway he hung up immediately after I told him that I was just waisting his time since he was waisting mine. Maybe if everyone spent several minutes with these calls instead of not answering or just hanging up, like I have usually done, they would give up. I figure that I am stalling them from dozens of potential calls that might actually hook someone.

Rec"d call from 952-941-1977 stating that my Windows computer was causing errors on the network. Wanted to me go to my computer, He did not speak good English. Called both our land lines within about a minute of each other. No one there when picked up. Used 1471 (we are in the UK) to get the number. Both our lines are listed with the Telephone Preference Service as "do not call" but these scum get around that by phoning from overseas.
