Apparently I am going to jail because I didn"t call them back, and I owe money to the CRA.
Super annoying... This is someone setting up numbers in Canada, cheap setup as it is a computer making the calls. They are disconnected after the telephone company discovers the scam, but they just set up another line, and start again. They use the same spreadsheet contact info. If you reply, you end up calling the call centre in India. I wish the RCMP catches this scammer in Canada...

Jessie Ryan badge number 417j2741 called my work phone registered to the corporation, not me personally, saying that they were from the social security administration. Asked for my name, zip code, and last 4 of my social. I gave them all bogus information as I could tell right away this was a scam, but I thought I"d see how far they"d take it. She proceeded to list out fraud activity to me that I was being held responsible for (on my completely made-up bogus info I gave them) and I was told to let her read it out without interruption. I wanted to see how far this would go, but they hung up unexpectedly. I think it was because there was no one with that combo of info since I made it all up and they hung up when they realized I was catfishing them back. Too bad, I was looking forward to them getting to the part where they tell me I have to pay them so I could follow along and say I wanted to call the police and get the details of the arrest warrant, but I never got a chance to play it that far. I was bored at the moment they called me, otherwise I would have hung up right away which is what I usually do. Now I actually have to do research so I can find the background info of someone who"s already in prison so my info looks legit when they try to scam me and obviously they can"t reach someone in prison so I won"t be putting anyone else at risk. Hmmm. What other back story would work for me to get the phone call, but unable to meet their demands? I"m at the police station right now? No, I want them to stay on the line to have fun with them. I"ll have to think about it...
