When I block the number they still fill up my voicemail with the automated blurb about being refunded money. I have been getting a lot of texts from lots of numbers (a lot from 844 numbers...this is the first 855 number) that are political in nature, asking for donations for the mid-term elections. Whoever it is who is sending these types of texts to me know which political party I support and candidates I have supported. However, that probably isn’t all that hard to find out and I don’t trust anybody who texts me and asks for money, so I am not going to give them my credit card number.
