They robocall you, claiming they are the IRS. They claim the IRS is pressing a lawsuit against you for tax fraud. They threaten to send out an arrest warrant and blacklist your social security number if you do not call them back. I just received the automated message again today, in the month of NOV17. last month, when I first got the message I called the number back, and a woman with an Indian accent picked up the phone. It sounded as though she were in a call center. First I received a recorded message stating that I needed to call this number back 202-524-3515 before a lawsuit is filed against me for tax fraud. I called the number back and Indian lady answered the phone and said that I have miscalculations from IRS tax returns from 2012 to 2016. She said that I have an outstanding balance and that if I don"t pay 0 today then the arrest warrant will be issued. I talked to her and ask her a few questions about why she did not ask me for my victim"s identification number and she asked me are you telling the IRS how to do our job. So I knew then that it was fraud and I did not release any information be very careful.

Get a few dozen of these calls lately, at least once a day, don"t always leave a message but one did on 11/22 that said "to call them back right away to discuss my case file before my arrest warrant was issued and my SS# blacklisted" to call 202-524-3515. I know that IRS will never call you but this is getting ridiculous that they cannot be caught and charged with falsifying information or something.
