"IRS" scam... I answered and it was a prerecorded message that was saying... that the IRS crime investigators are monitoring me and my physical property, ready to issue a warrant and arrest me.... saying I need to call them back immediately. The number recorded is completely different even the area code... My mom had a call like this a few years back and they said she owed the IRS 5,000 in back taxes... they were very belligerent to her and said they accepted visa... the man on the other end said she wasn"t allowed to hang up or they would arrest her.... freaked my mom out!..

Called and left a robo voice message telling me that IRS crime investigators are monitoring me and my physical property, ready to make an arrest at any time and that I need to call them back immediately. The number recorded is an entirely different number but I called the number that originally called me. A male answered the phone, "IRS" and so I told him that someone called me and this was a missed number. He asked me if it was a missed call or a phone message and I told him that it was a missed call. He then tells me I need to give him my full legal name and social security number to pull up the arrest warrant out on me. I tell him he needs to give his name and badge number and he proceeds to tell me that his name is Joseph and his badge number is IRS-and a bunch of numbers. I then tell him to go ahead and find another person to scam and hung up on him. IRS never communicates through actual phone calls and news reports will tell you that IRS only communicates through mail correspondence or unless you actually call them with the phone number that is listed on any letter sent by the IRS.

These people are idiots. They leave a call back number to a number that"s not working. How do they think they"re going to be able to steal from people if the number doesn"t work....and yes i called back. I"ve had a bad day and thought they need to hear about it

The caller left a pre-recorded robot voicemail of very poor quality. They started leaving the message before my voicemail started recording so I don"t know who they were saying they were. A couple of phrases that I could make out were "are being monitored" and "it is very important that we hear from you before proceeding in any legal matter". They wanted me to call them back. I obvious would never return a call like this. Obvious scam.

Called back. Said that they were the IRS. When I got defensive he started swearing and said that if I didnt give him my information then he would just keep calling me. He then proceeded to get very vulgar about stealing my life and that if I had sex with him he would stop calling. He had a thick Indian accent.

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
