This company called my number looking for another person - my neighbor. This is the second call of this type I"ve gotten. The second was Citibank Sears (which I believe is also a scam). They had my number with my neighbor"s name.... I called back and got an extension of a man with a foreign sounding name. I told him this person was not at this number and not to call me again. We"ll see.

Have been receiving calls from this number. I never answer calls from numbers which I do not know. They can leave a message and I can decide whether or not to call back.
I agree with another poster, never give out any information whatsoever!
They get information from when companies such as banks, or doctor"s offices, ask for a reference or next of kin in case of emergency. That way they can try and find you if a debt is owed of some kind.

The fact that these idiots called me on a brand new number means they have no idea what they are doing.
However, for others, who actually get a person that actually talks with you... they have already proven that they are operating shadily and in a grey area...
NEVER acknowledge that anyone resides at the number they have called... your response should always be "No such person resides here. Do not call this number again!" Never elaborate.
Though they might be a legitimate service of some sort, this type of thing is how (worst case) stalkers and killers get info about people and their location -- if you don"t spoof your info, your number gives most people your ACTUAL location, (best case) reporters and private investigators...
Why can"t legislature actually do their freaking jobs and script some laws regarding this type of thing?!?

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
