I received a voicemail from an automated recording that said I had criminal charges against me and to call back right away before the cops come to get me! Hahaha, right. I knew this was a scam, so I called back to F with them, however, they quickly connected my call to a man who said he"s been getting these calls all day long and that he was being harassed as well. He said they were scammers claiming to be calling from the IRS. I told him I won"t dial the number again and hung up. I placed this number on my block list along with another number that I got a call from claiming the same ordeal - (518) 400-9723.

I’ve been getting this message for a week now at least twice a day. I work in finance so... I’ve called the number at least twice a day only to get a “this is not a working number” message until today! The person who answered was definitely of an east Indian accent and I informed that my name is Dave Stevenson and that I work for the United States Federal Trade Commission, I then requested his business license number, he responded by saying “ok” and then hung up.

I received a robo call from this number telling me to call back. I actually called back out of curiosity. The first time I called a male picked up and stated that he was from IRS investigations. I informed him that I am a police officer (which I am) and that I checked and there are no current warrants for my arrest and requested his information. He hung up on me.

I immediately called back and the same male stated, "F___ you" and hung up. I called back 5 more times and was hung up on each time without anyone talking. I waited about 5 minutes and called back again and identified myself and the new operator hung up on me. I continued calling about 30 more times and was hung up on until the last call, where a female answered.and upon telling her that I believed that this was fake, she stated, "F___ you" and hung up.

I know that calling them repeatedly did little good, but I believe I annoyed them and plan on continuing to bother them when I can. The is definitely a scam and you should not give them any information. You should block their number.
