I just got an email from this Stephen Brawn, same email and 512 area code phone number. Same wording in the email, when I called the number, it was not a valid number.

Red flag for me: I wrote my number in code, but this guy emailed me. Also the last name used as a sign-off on the email.

I knew it was spam/scam right away because in my sale add I gave my contact number in "code" so only actual people who read my listing would understand its my half spelled out phone number and also stated emails would be flagged if they didn"t use the random "password" I had for each listing,

I got the exact email as stated above re buying my item. Got suspicious when he wanted to send cashier ck ASAP then have movers pick up item.

Not sure what the scam is, but don"t think I"ll proceed with sale of item and avoid trouble.

Comment above advised to call police...would police be interested in this or take action? Feel like they would laugh if I called about this.

What I thought was weird right away is, He signed it "Brawn", I never close with just my last name. So I called the phone number anyways and it was all static but to get that, "do do do (noise)operator telling me that it was a bad number".
