I just received a call from the same number 607-247-0359 in Alfred New York. The message they left was partially cut off, but the rest of it said something about issuing a warrant for my arrest in my state and to phone this number back today. It was an automated message. The first time I phoned the number back, a lady answered "yes" (she was from India) and when I asked her to identify herself, she hung up. I called back a second time and a man (also from India) answered and said, "this is Samual Marshall from the Internal Revenue Service. How can I help you?" I asked him to repeat himself. He stumbled on his words, but did repeat the same introduction. I confronted him and said that I knew that this was a scam and he hung up. I phoned a third time. I got a different male (again from India) identifying that I reached the IRS. I said, "IRS, that is finny because I work for the IRS." He hung up immediately. I am reporting this. Do not engage with these people. It is a total scam.

I didn"t answer the phone, and a recorded message was left saying there is a warrant for my arrest and the message was the final attempt to reach me before further action was taken. They called again with an automated message saying it was the IRS conducting a criminal investigation. When I called the number back, a human answered saying, "This is the IRS. How can I help you." Be aware. These guys on the phone are bullies. Don"t call back if you miss their call. Big waste of time and energy. They wanted me to stay on the line while I drove to Best Buy to purchase a "tax-pay" card. They threatened that I had a warrant out for tax fraud. and that I needed to give them 22.0, for my name to be cleared. Fortunately, I came to my senses under all that stress, and eventually hung up on them.

Called and stated there was a warrant for my arrest for IRS c**p and when I called back the lady on the other end wanted my name. When I asked her what kind of company or affiliation they are to the IRS, she hung up on me. I called the second time and a guy answered and he stated that they are the IRS and he would better help me if I would give him my name. I stated that if he gave me his name and badge number, I could go to the IRS office where I live and verify with them if I do have an arrest warrant out for me and that it was that guy"s branch with his name, he hung up on me too.

left a voicemail talking about a arrest warrant called back and he said he worked for the IRS gave a badge # a warrant ID # and asked if I wanted the information sent to my local police station. He asked me to take him off speaker phone and when I did he said have a good day and hung up, I called back twice and each time he hung up the phone. I hope this information helps!
