The have called twice. indian accent saying he can give me 50% off of my bill. He asked what my monthly bill is and I answered I wasn"t sure he then said a random amount and stated I could save 50% monthly. He stated I would have to pay 1 month up front and then I wouldn"t receive a new bill for 3 months then it will show at the discounted rate. he claimed to be with direct tv at&t and then tried to get me to agree to what he was saying and was going to transfer me to someone else who would give me a promotion code. the next major red flag was that he said I would have to call direct tv customer service and give them my promotion code (Why would I have to call customer service and give my promotion code if he was calling from direct tv) so needless to say I asked to not be called again and hung up. they called again a few days later and I didn"t answer. Now I am recieveing text messages daily that says dear (My Name) my acct # (That is correct) and states "do you know you can avail upto 50% discounts on your DIRECTV AT&T bills by redeeming this Promo code: EBAY So Hurry Up, call us at 1 (855)723-4610 befdore promo expires today. I called back and was almost fooled. Prompts and background music says direct tv. Very convincing. Indian sounding guy, James (specious name for such a heavy accent) I told him my name and number so he could pull up account. He asked me how much are you paying monthly. If he is with direct tv shouldn"t he know this? I asked him why he couldn"t see that information since he was with direct tv. He then repeated my address as if that would prove anything. I realized this was definitely a scam when he told me to f off. The funny part is I"m with spectrum. Silly scammers!! But what fun to mess with them.

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
