Husband received a call on his cell on 2/9/22 from a guy claiming to be from PCH and that my husband had won the main prize. Instructed him to purchase gift cards for 0 each x 2 and then money order for 0 and have it sent overnight express to name and address provided. My husband has early dementia and did not realize this was a scam. The caller was able to convince husband to give him the card info. when I checked the balance on the cards, they had 0 balance now. Publishers Clearing House will NEVER ask for any money, and winners are notified via mail or in person when they deliver the prize. You all please please beware!! We had to block this guy and report him to gift card company, FTC.gov Fraud and then the merchants where the card was used. So far, I have been able to get the money order cancelled and one of the merchants is going to refund. the other merchand is not answering any of my messages I have left.
