I"ve received several calls from this number once every few days. Sometimes it"s not the same number but same area code ( they probably do that in order to get around our mobile phone"s "block" feature. I think it"s just a ping/test to see if someone actually ANSWERS the phone. When I called back it just said "please wait while we connect you" but then the call disconnected. The mysterious number called right back and this time after I said "hello?", I heard a pre-recorded woman"s voice simply saying the word "Goodbye!", and the call disconnected. I"m not sure what type of scam call this is, but it was definitely a scam call. I think now my number will be shared with thousands of scammers as a number which they can actually reach a live person.
