People did someone really talk with them? Seems to start as a pop-up message on your computer stating there is a virus in it and you should call the Norton Antivirus technicians - but in most cases this is just a scam - every antivirus is able to clean, block or just suppress the virus in the time of operating system restart. So be aware, this should be just a fake message.

I visited a webpage on my laptop and all of a sudden, a continuous alarm started playing on my laptop. The number 8779267492 popped up and asked me contact immediately. I called and listened to an hour long lecture from a lady who explained how much infected my laptop is. At the end of the call they offered some anti virus software for 5 per year (McAfee sells for 50 bucks an year). There were more packages for 2 years, 3 years and lifetime. I have a brighthouse network connection and they have already provided anti-virus and firewall to my system"s safety. This lady was not from Brighthuose but some other company. It all happened because, Somehow my firewall was turned off and these buggers were able to sneak in. Let me also tell about the twist in the tail of this episode. When I strictly declined to take any of their package, they asked me make a donation for the cause of cancer patients which sounded so ridiculous and unprofessional. I gave them a piece of my mind and disconnected the call. Whenever I reflect upon this incidence, I strongly feel that, they are guys who make spywares/virus etc and wait for someone to get trapped so that they can make a business out of the rescue mission.

This number sent me a group text with one other number and me. I did not recognize the other number either, which was (347) 816-0388. The text sent a link for supposed free products from Amazon. The text read, “See worthy find, Rebecca It seems like something youd appreciate bopbiq.co,:;EE0bWqw.” It also had a picture that said, “Free Stuff,” next to a shopping bag with “Amazon” written on it.
I blocked my number and tried to call both numbers. This number the text came from (323) 775-7100, went straight to a message that said, “This number has not setup their voicemail,” and hung up. When I called the other number that was part of the group (347) 816-0388, a lady answered and said hello, but I just hung up. I blocked both numbers and did not click on the link.
